1851 1c Franklin Type II Single on Richmond, Virginia, Drop Cover

1851 1c blue Franklin Type II single tied by black Richmond, Virginia, circular date stamp cancel. On drop cover sent to Warner Jones, a Virginia House of Burgesses delegate in Richmond. An 1858 printed (with some manuscript writing as well) proclamation of the Governor of Virginia included with this very fine cover. An especially nice piece of 1851-57 1c Franklin postal history sent within pre-Civil War Virginia to a member of the state government.
