1895 3c Jackson on 1c Entire Sent from New York to Germany

1895 1st Bureau Issue 3c purple Jackson strip of three and single used on 1c entire envelope sent on January 12, 1900 from New York City to Hamburg, Germany. Red New York City Registry label ties three of the stamps already canceled by black oval "G" New York cancels. New York Registered Division and purple boxed Registered Branch backstamps along with black Hamburg receiving handstamp. An interesting franking with four 3c stamps and the 1c entire paying the 5c Universal Postal Union single weight rate and the 8c registered mail fee.
