Meet rare stamp specialist Alex Haimann...

Alex’s professional philatelic career began in 1998, when he founded the Bretalex Stamp Company. Focusing on classic United States stamps initially, Bretalex expanded its stock to include worldwide stamps and postal history. Between 2000-2007, Bretalex held booths at over twenty WSP, National & International stamp shows.
In 2004, Alex worked with the leading U.S. stamp auctioneer, Robert A. Siegel Auction Galleries, in New York City. Since 2005, Alex has been on staff at Smithsonian National Postal Museum, first as the Collection Department's Philatelic Specialist and now as a Collections Specialist and Web Projects Developer on the museum's Web Team.
Alex has been a featured speaker and presenter to philatelic audiences across the country, including outreach to beginning and youth stamp collectors. Combining his many years of experience handling rare United States stamps and postal history, Alex looks forward to working with Mystic Rare Stamp clients to achieve their collecting goals.
Alex is the Founder and Chair of the Young Philatelic Leaders Fellowship, a program to engage enthusiastic young stamp collectors in the broader philatelic world. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the American Stamp Dealers Association, member of the United States Stamp Society, Collector’s Club of New York, and holds life memberships in the United States Philatelic Classics Society and American Philatelic Society
